Enrolment

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at Doncaster Gardens Primary School.

 

Our school follows the Department of Education ‘Placement Policy’. This states that ‘eligible children and young persons have the right to be admitted to their designated neighbourhood government school, regardless of capacity’ based on their residential address. A student’s designated neighbourhood school is generally the school that is nearest the student’s permanent address as determined by the school zone.

 

Our school is using an online system for new enrolments to Victorian government schools, called VicStudents.

 

Can I use the online system to enroll my child?  

The online system is currently available for students who are enrolling in a Victorian government school for the first time. Generally, this includes:

  • Foundation (Prep) students
  • Students at any year level that are joining from interstate or a non-government school in Victoria.

 

To get started:

Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form. Please contact us if you would prefer to submit a paper application form.

 

We will review the information submitted and be in contact with you.

 

Is VicStudents secure?

VicStudents has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security.

Enrolment Supporting Documentation(please name each document and upload onto the VicStudent application)

  • evidence of identity and date of birth. For example, a birth certificate or passport/Visa (if relevant)
  • Australian Immunisation History Statement
  • your contact details
  • emergency contact details
  • health information about your child (such as allergies or illnesses they need to manage)
  • other legal orders relating to your child and their welfare
  • Proof of Residence. A total of 100 points of proof of permanent residential address documentation (https://content.sdp.education.vic.gov.au/media/549). Documents must be in the parent/carers’ name.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address. Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school.
